Hi in this Session we are going to Review Jio Tag and How to use Jio Tag or setting it up with Jio things app and all the features which are inbuilt.
Jio Tag-
let us see what is Jio tag and we literally mean the device by itself not Jio tagging Jio tagging is very very different. How To Use -
You need to install the Jio Things app where there are some surprises waiting for us you see Jio Tag is not only the thing which can be controlled through this app it seems Jio is in process of rolling out other iot which is internet of things devices like Jio motive for your car which can also be controlled using this app ahead we will see some of these features as well setting it up an account was pretty simple just using your mobile number and email address with a verification in the app you can see Jio Tag and Jio motive operations are already mentioned the app looks clean and simple to navigate let us go and set up the Jio Tag as Jio Tag works on Bluetooth 5.0 technology you will have to enable Bluetooth settings for the app as shown in the setup long pressing the tag will give you a sound and an indicator light will blink on the tag clicking on the plus icon will start pairing the Jio Tag once paired your tag will make a sound.
You can name the tag and describe what article is it attached to you can also upload a picture actually once paired you can see the Jio Tag as your paired tag saying connected clicking on the tag
Takes you to the tag features where you will find location of the tag battery indicator tag and phone settings and firmware clicking on manage settings will help you set up what kind of notifications do you want you can set a disconnection alert type on your phone and on your tag basically what kind of alerts do you want there is also a reconnect notification which you can receive on your phone once your phone is again reconnected to the tag phone ring duration is a good function where double tapping the tag will ring the phone to help you find your phone so you can decide
Other Features & FAQs-
if you want the phone to keep ringing or limit the ring time wise well as this works on Bluetooth 5.0 technology the maximum distance it can remain connected to the tag would be about 20 meters indoors and a maximum of 50 meters outdoors in a clear line of sight alert already so although the tag, mentions 20 meters which should be 60 feet but at about 45 or 50 feet there was disconnection already certainly it will depend upon how many walls appliances etc are all interfering with it once within the range and connected pressing the ring to fine works perfectly and instantly the tag starts ringing to help you find the device it is attached to this is another good feature where double pressing the tag starts the phone to ring you can locate your phone and once located you can click on found it to make it stop ringing notifications on the phone for reconnection appears perfectly as well as the tag gives a sound alert on reconnection well one thing.
if you lose your tag there is a function which says Jio community will help you find it but for now We don't see any options for us to help locate any other lost tags not yet there is also an app on the play store called Jio things business which means Jio might be doing tie-ups for complete businesses to use internet of things devices like these from Jio on rollout the cost of this would be roughly about two thousand rupees which makes it very competitive in a market where apple and Samsung tags are selling for three thousand bucks now covering some FAQs on the tab well that is about a year well at a time no you can disconnect the tag from your phone and give it to your family members to use but not at the same time yes it will absolutely work because it works on Bluetooth technology
